A future-focusing curatorial studio tending to care, research and experimentation. Through these principles, we develop exhibitions, publications, programs, mentorship and artwork that reimagine narratives, senses and experiences. We invite collaboration and conversation as we explore the multidisciplinary nature of creative work to reveal the infinite possibilities of exhibition-making and artwork creation. Highlighting the relationship between curators, artists and the audience, our aim is to encourage risk, disruption and imagination.

EXHIBITIONS
2024 backbone – عمود فقري, Carbon12, Alserkal Avenue, Dubai
6 artists who engage in risk and interruption within their practices, ranging from painting, sculpture, video, sound and textile. Our senses and nerves are challenged as backbone attempts to render the internal and external visible in order to understand their differences.
2024 Crystal Clear –كريستال كلير, Bayt AlMamzar, Dubai
14 local and international artist group exhibitions consisting of a mixture of newly commissioned work and old work and a range of disciplines from architecture, painting, video, installation, and sound. Throughout the three month display period, salasil hosted a number of public programmes such as: Ghad Al Majid’s Open Studio; Library Gathering; Palestine Online with Amad Ansari, Lecture & Workshop.
2022 Beyond A Reasonable Doubt, WANAWAL & Reference Point, London
The exhibition features works by 6 artists, including Lulua Alyahya, Juline Hadaya, Ghad AlMajid, Malak Elghuel, Sophia Al Maria, and Shamiran Istifan in addition to a short film by LAMYLAND, a collective founded by Michèle Lamy. The opening was activated by 3 performances and a culinary experience, inspired by Etel Adnan’s poetry and practice.
